I am curious. With all the new cpu’s in the Mac products, is there a way I can upgrade my existing MBP 2.16 intel core duo to a faster cpu? I really would like to do this my self, but I can’t find info anywhere. Thanks!!

There’s online hype abound that we’re going to see a September/ October, which must be right if they want to hit the holiday season.

But doesn’t that put Apple in a tricky position in Europe?

By common consensus the OSX-core of the 6G iPod video/ iPod Touch is going to mark a strong convergence between the flagship iPods and the iPhone. And Europe is due to see the iPhone in the next few months.

So doesn’t a Sept/ Oct launch of the iPods throw Apple’s European iPhone launch in a spin? Can they really launch two similar consumer products in such close proximity?

I’m reckoning on an imminent launch of the new iPods, and a consequential postponement of the iPhone launch in Europe (to next spring?), possibly with a 2.0 upgrade (with 3G a likelihood). The baffling uncertainty over the European carriers at the late stage in the day also points to a possible iPhone delay. Makes sense, n’est pas?
