Yeah - his interface is very cool. There was a YouTube video floating around for it back at the beginning of the year … at the time, I was playing around with blogging a bit, so I made an entry in my blog –

Funny coincidence, I mentioned Minority Report as well when I described the video!!
Cool stuff, in deed… and this one is set to some trippy music, so it takes on an even cooler feel …

OK, so yes, this is completelly AWESOME!
Cali, when do you think we’ll be able to see this technology in actual computers?
Do we have to wait for a company that builds monitors to struck a deal with who ever owns this technology, so we can actually have one???

The guy who made it said it’s not expensive and very scalable, so I’m hoping soon!

Just stumbled upon this. A friend had been talking about it. Holy freaking crap it was hard to find the original video you used in your show.
At first I was ticked at you for not citing your sources, and you could do a much better job of citing your source, at least providing a name or some documentation… but I must admit this video is almost imposible to link to. The only place there’s a url is burried in a video podcast feed that I had to dig out of from behind a horrid flash site. There’s no way to actually read the post of view it without putting the RSS feed into an RSS reader like bloglines.
Holy crap… how can the ted people be so smart and “visionary” and yet so clueless. Here the very latest post is a speach by negroponte on getting the rest of the world access… and the TED people can’t even make an accessible blog.
Anyway, I added it to mefeedia.com just so I had a url.

Here’s a link to the post

And a direct link to the video.

There was also some original footage going around on the web earlier this year. It’s at the following url.

Hi Cali
I saw that Microsoft have a similar UI that’s being looked into in their research labs
You’ll find a video demo over at channel 9 here http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=218252#218252
Enjoy…

I really liked Minority Report and the futuristic ideas it had. Are there any plans to make a sequel?
