*You many notice some lag in the video of this one. We’re pushing our iMac as far as it can go, and the video in the background in a couple of shots was more than it could handle. MacPro is in the shopping cart. It’s a lot of Ramen Noodles! :)

I actually came here to note how great everything looked today. The choice of background, how Cali’s shirt coordinated, everything looked very sharp and clear. Then again I’m barely into the Writely segment. I won’t submit this until after watching the whole thing….

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. Well no worries. Let’s focus on how great this color scheme works. I’m not crazy about dark backgrounds anyway.

PS: PODcast PODcast PODcast. Nyaah Apple.

Hey Cali, you haven’t danced with a fish for a while. Wassup with that?
I got that PCTV HD Pro Stick on order. :)

So how come since Episode #70, the episodes have doubled in bit rate for the iPod version, and now iTunes says they are not playable on my 5th gen iPod?

Progressive is a pretty good insurance company..is it a reflection of the younger generation that you don’t use Drive (with an agent vs.direct) instead?

Just so ya don’t feel left out…. the reason you “somehow missed” the reopening of writely’s signup is that you, as did I, trusted them to let you know. They didn’t email me either.

You win! You told me about it in the first place AND it was your recent mention of it again that caused me to just go and check up on them. But, the fact remains that I should have let you know when I found it open, myself! “Bad family agent!” :(

    Thanks, Cali!

    Hi Cali,

Luv the show. I bookmarked Writely after hearing you mention it on GBR 3 with Leo. BTW I like Leo’s idea of calling it a “NetCast”, sounds good to me. Umm… ah… I ju heh heh, I just want to say you looked REALLY good today, yep sure did. Allllrighty then, see you next time.

I only just found out about GeekBrief (from listening to Inside the Net # 34).

I downloaded around 3 iPod episodes and they’re really good! and I’m looking forward to seeing more. Loved the “in-place” bloopers in the latest episode.

But, my iPod is having trouble playing them AND even my PC has trouble (3.2GHz, 2GB ram). I don’t have any problems with any of the other video podcasts I download (dl.tv, diggnation, commandN, Hope is Emo, Rocketboom, etc).

Maybe you guys should have a chat with Patrick at dl.tv, they’ve recently changed their iPod version to make it much smaller (resolution exactly fits the iPod screen) and it plays really well.

Keep up the good work guys.

Thanks for bringing the Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick to my attention. I got it the other day and have been watching over the air HD TV with the included antenna ever since and it is AMAZING on my 17″ 1920×1200 Vaio laptop screen.

Can hardly wait until Monday night to watch “Studio 60″ in HD. I had been noticing a lot of TV shows seem very darkly shot these days and it’s a bit annoying to watch on regular TV. Well, on HDTV that lighting is gorgeous! Apparently it just doesn’t downconvert very well to standard def.

The Pinnacle package also includes what must be the world’s smallest remote control. The thing is the length of my index finger and only slightly wider. I can still press the buttons though. Cool all around.
