[...] GeekBrief.tv just stunned me with this revelation, that George Lucas is making a new Star Wars movies, but this time for television! A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away Lucas made some lame Ewok movies. So bad they were, made for television only, with no theatricial release and apparently he wants to try that again. (I wonder if they will use this classic “worst trailer ever” styling.) [...]

@Anonymous, I don’t hate it. It just seems like a surprising choice. I’m curious why he isn’t going all out and making something for a theatrical release.

you know the original plan for star wars was that it was a trilogy of trilogies
and he chose to make the middle three first hence star wars the empire strikes bakc and return of the jedi. then he stepped back and made the first three so maybe now he is going to step back and explain things like how honsolo got the millenium falcon in that card game or how he fell through a worm hole into that galaxy far far away oh wel we shall see what he is going to make i just wish he would write the last three scripts and get them made i am still waitting to see how luke skywalker and princelea rebuild the jedi

Hum… dunno how I should feel about this. Why not theatrical… because of the price I’d say. I think this won’t have the special effects of Episode 1-3 (not that they were very good anyway). Also, didn’t he say that he won’t ever do another theatrical Star Wars movie?
Somehow I’d like to see Ep. 7-9. But then 1-3 haven’t been that good… but since they have all been getting better… 1 was ok, 2 decent, 3 good, maybe 7-9 would be pretty good. Hope never dies, huh?
